One Week to go!

We always create itinerary cards, with high level itinerary attached and in each carry-on, or "drag-a-long" as I call them, and each shipped bag. And, we put one in an envelope inside each bag.

The bags came down from the attic about 2 weeks ago!  They just sat patiently in the guest room until about a week ago.  Tom got serious on his packing last weekend.  Me, I procrastinated until yesterday... It took me about 3 hours to get it all packed and create a list of contents for Luggage Free (the company we use to ship our luggage) to pick up today!  Oh but we wish it were "free"!! However they do allow us to travel "Luggage Free"!!

We were scheduled for pick-up between 11am and noon today (St. Patty's day) so, we put our bags our in the garage around 10:30. The courier arrived about 5 minutes 'til 11am.  Fortunately, we'd not lingered long at breakfast!

The courier person, a very affable man named Wally from Affordable Courier Solutions proceeded to "bag" our bags.  In chatting with him we learned he is 78 years old!!  Welcome to the Florida Suncoast area!!  Folks retire from their career type jobs and do things they consider to be fun to earn a few extra dollars!

The bags were quickly packed into his car and were on their way to spend the night somewhere not too far away.  Soon after, they'll get to FedEx and be on their way to Miami.  They'll meet us on Sunday, March 26th when we board the Regent Seven Seas Explorer in Miami!
